A Change in Direction – Writing to Serve Others

This month marked a significant shift for Blossom Braid International. After months of recovery and reflection, God began to change the direction of my work.

For years, my writing focused on my own journey — the falls, the desert seasons, the uncertainties, and the joys. But God showed me that it was time to move outward. My calling wasn’t just about telling my story anymore; it was about helping others navigate theirs.

And so, a new rhythm began. Instead of reflections on my life, I started creating content designed to serve, encourage, and equip other Christian creatives and ministries. The “Seven Reasons Why” posts, the “How To” posts — practical, step-by-step, faith-centered guidance — became the heart of the blog. Each post could be a single article, but often I found they worked best as month-long series, giving readers time to explore, apply, and grow.

This shift felt like stepping into a new season. One filled with purpose, focus, and the joy of seeing God use my creativity to help others flourish. It’s a reminder that sometimes obedience means changing course — listening, responding, and trusting that God’s plan is greater than our own.

The work ahead feels exciting, even challenging. And I am grateful for the clarity, the new direction, and the opportunity to serve. God’s faithfulness has been constant, and now it’s time to extend that faithfulness through the resources and guidance we can offer others.
