When God Calls You to Begin Before You Feel Ready
I didn’t start Blossom Braid International because I had a perfect plan.
I started because God asked me to.
At the time, I was a freelance writer living in London, already working creatively and running Daisy Change Media. From the outside, life looked settled. I was doing good work, staying busy, and following a path that made sense. But somewhere in the middle of that season, God began to quietly press something new onto my heart.
Not louder.
Just deeper.
What God was asking of me didn’t come with a full explanation. There was no clear roadmap, no five-year vision, no sense that I was “ready.” What there was — was a gentle but persistent invitation to trust Him beyond what felt comfortable.
Blossom Braid International began there.
Not as a business idea, but as an act of obedience.
I didn’t yet know what it would become. I only knew that creativity mattered to God, that the Church needed joyful and Christ-centered resources, and that saying yes — even imperfectly — mattered more than waiting until I felt confident.
This season has been one of learning to begin small. Of showing up without certainty. Of trusting that God can braid together the pieces we don’t yet understand.
If you’re reading this at the beginning of something — unsure, unprepared, but willing — know this: God doesn’t wait for us to feel ready. He simply asks us to be faithful.
And that is where Blossom Braid International begins
